Here are some “Angry Bird” treats made for our son’s 8th birthday party!
I just kind of made my own pattern for the treat bags and glued them onto brightly colored gift bags. (Sorry no pattern uploaded, when I was done, I threw everything away!!!)
I have been making cake pops and thought it would be fun to make oreo cookie pops. I LOVELOVELOVE this cake pop stand that my friend Terri Guymon made! She has a website FILLED with all kinds of shapes and sizes! The great thing about these is you can just change out your ribbon to go with any theme you are using. Also, you can use these stands for things other than cake pops! (Oreo Cookie Pops, cookies on a stick, fruit ka-bobs, etc.She even sells a rectanglar shaped one that will hold a 9×13 cake pan! Check out her blog HERE. This little Hersheys nugget holder was CASED, and I found this idea on Danee’s blog HERE. Sling shot from Oriental Trading Company Keychain from Amazon This I CASED from Norma HERE. Hope you enjoyed these!
Here’s one of my Stamp Club cards this month. This 3-D card features a fireplace – the mantle is the 3-D part.
Stamp Set: Festive Fun
Paper: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Red Shimmer, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Stocking Builder Punch, Gold Brads, Scallop Trim Border, Dimensionals, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Simply Scored Tool
The fireplace was made by cutting a 4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of cardstock. On the 3 3/4″ side, score at 2 3/4″ and 3″. Use the Scallop Trim Border on the side that is closest to the score lines. Fold on score lines to form mantle.
I totally CASED Erin Gonzalez on this one! You can view her creation HERE. You could also do this as a name place card for Thanksgiving. (This is a great way to use up Halloween candy!! LOL) Recipe:Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny WishesPaper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper WhiteInk: Early EspressoAccessories: Owl Punch, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Two Tags Die, 1 1/2 Early Espresso Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Twine
Here is a Thanksgiving card that we made at Stamp Club this month! I saw the turkey made out of the bird punch a year ago on Lynn Pratt’s blog HERE. I am amazed at her creativity!!! I was done with my Thanksgiving classes when I saw this last year, so I have waited all year to make this! Here’s my version: Recipe:
Stamp Set: Grateful Greetings (inside sentiment is the Thanksgiving saying from that set)
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Bird Punch (see below), Owl Punch, Baker’s Twine, Dimensionals, 2 3/8″ Scallop Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1 3/8″ Square Punch, Striped Embossing Folder (Very Vanilla is done with this, it’s hard to see here), 5/8″ Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon
Here is a photo of how the bird is punched. Once you are done punching it out, ink the edges with Soft Suede. The leg bone of the turkey is the foot on the Owl Punch.
This is a card I made for one of my downline who had a baby in August! I got a similar card at convention from Michelle Siebenthall. She used totally different colors.
Here’s a list of the punches I used to make the giraffe:Largest Oval Punch for mouth
1 ¾” Circle Punch for head
Heart Punch for the white behind the googlie eyes (cut heart in half and position as shown)
½” Circle Punch for the nostrils
Word Window punch for the teeth and bumps on head
Scallop Edge Punch for the mane
This first one is hard to see, but the front of the card has the shimmer paint mist all over it. So in real life, there is a blingy goldy sparkly finish to it. I made the shimmer mist spray by going to Walgreens and purchasing a tube of hand sanitizer, then adding about 1/2t. of shimmer spray to it. Just shake it up and VOILA! Instant shimmer mist! I used “Champagne” shimmer paint on this project. I know the frost white works well, too. And I also know that Platinum DOES NOT work!
You can make your own shimmer mist by going to the drugstore and purchasing some hand sanitizer ($1.49). Just add about 1 t. of shimmer mist paint, shake it up, and spray your project! When the hand sanitizer is gone, substitute rubbing alcohol for the same effect. NOTE: the Platinum Shimmer Paint doesn’t work well with this technique!
Champagne Mist #116806 $5.95Frost White #116854 $5.95Platinum #116807 $5.95To order shimmer paint (not in current catalog but is STILL AVAILABLE) or any other supplies, please email me, or order on my website HERE. This card features the Sending Love Notes paper and the Glassine Envelopes found on page 19 of the Occasions Mini. The glassine envelope was dry embossed on just the bottom left corner, which is kind of hard to see in the picture. Recipe: Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes Paper: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Sweet Pea DP, Sending Love Notes (Hugs), Glassine Envelope (Rectangle Envelope) Ink: Pretty in Pink Accesssories: Dimensionals (to pop the wing), Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch
The last project was using the Big Shot! We made these flower accessories. These can be worn as pins for your jacket or sweater, or can be used to embellish just about anything! The gals had a choice of 3 different styles to make. The one on the bag uses burlap as the middle fabric.
There is an awesome YouTube video on how to make these, which can be found HERE. However, I do a few things differently. I just cut small squares to fit the flower I am using, rather than putting one piece on the whole die cut.
Accessories: Fabric, Flower Folds Die Cut, Corduroy Buttons, Hot Glue
