I need to list 8 things about me as a recipient of this award. (Ugh, I don’t like talking about me!!!) Ok, here goes:
1. The most important thing to me is Christ in my life! 2. I have the most amazing husband who can figure out/fix anything! I’m serious! 3. My kids (3 kids + 1 daughter in law) are the greatest gifts ever received! 4. Our oldest son deployed last week. 🙁 He is a Captain in the Air Force. (Prayers please!) 5. Our 2nd child (daughter) got a job as a Kindergarten teacher during Christmas break, 1 week after her diploma arrived in the mail! 6. Our youngest son (I had him at 42 years old) keeps me HOPPING! Love that kid, he makes me laugh every day. He is our SURPRISE BLESSING! 7. I have been a Stampin’ UP demonstrator for 5 years! 8. I used to be a flight attendant for 20 years….traded in my wings to be a full time mom to our SURPRISE BLESSING (see number 6. LOL)
Check out another Valentine RAK I received from my friend, Jennie Portonova! Chocolate and flowers, what more could a girl ask for? I absolutely love this beautiful work of ART! Thank you so much Jennie, you are a GEM! (You can view Jennie’s blog HERE.)
Look what Valentine RAK was at my door on Valentine’s Day! Rachele Sanclemente was the creator of this gem! Isn’t it darling? The writing is made out of FUZZY vinyl! Rachele is such a talented gal. She recently won a contest with her darling Valentine creations. You can see her creations on the Feb. 3rd post HERE. THANK YOU RACHELE! I LOVE it!
What a surprise to find this in my mailbox yesterday!! My stamping buddy from Montana sent this to me!!! Her name is Kim Sinclair, and she has very creative and inspiring ideas!! You can find her blog HERE. Kim is at the Stampin’ Up Leadership conference this weekend in Nashville, TN. I wanted to go SO BAD, but because we are traveling to MN in a week, AND I am giving some stamping classes at our church that I couldn’t adjust the dates on, I just couldn’t swing it.
Kim knew I wanted to be there in the worst way, so she sent me this treat, timing it so I would get it on the day the conference started. SUCH A SWEET GAL!!!
Love this Valentine treat, and how she thinks out of the BOX using a pet set! 🙂 THANK YOU SWEET KIM! Wish I were there with you!
Here’s another RAK from across the miles! This one is from Karen Thomas, who lives in Australia! If you haven’t seen Karen’s blog, you have to check it out. You can find her on Luv to Stamp. Her blog will BLOW YOU AWAY! Karen and I have become Stamping Pen Pals, and we take turns sending each other cards and in this case, TREATS! This has been so much fun!
She made this beautiful decorated bag with the cutest little tag on it, plus a matching 3×3 card. Inside the bag was a darling Koala bear Christmas ornament, along with AUSSIE CHOCOLATE!!! (For you weSTAMPERS out there, she included a treat for us, too, so I will share that with you tonight at our weSTAMP gathering!)
Just had to share the “fun mail” I have been getting! THANK YOU so much Karen!
Look what my stamping friend Sandi Sohn sent me!! 🙂 Isn’t this adorable? “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” is one of my all time favorite classic movies, so OF COURSE I fell in love with this card! (I want to frame it!) The picture doesn’t do it justice, the pumpkins are 3-D so it looks like Snoopy and Linus really are buried in pumpkins! She sponged the background! I seriously thought she bought the paper like that! THANKS SANDI! What a beautiful card!
This next surprise was sent from a fellow weSTAMPER, Jennie Portonova! She wasn’t able to attend Regionals this year because she is caring for her mother at this time. (By the way, please say a prayer for her mama!!) The little “list” notebooks were going to be her swap at Regionals. I LOVE LIST PADS!!!! Oh and isn’t this matching card beautiful? That stamp set (Garden From the Heart) is also in the Occasions Mini. Look at how she even paper-pieced the ribbon on the hat! BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Jennie!! 🙂 (PS. Jennie told mer her sister, Toni, helped her with it, it was a joint effort). THANKS TONI!
You may recognize this card if you are a stalker of Nancy Riley’s blog, iSTAMP. I remember when she posted this and I went NUTS for it. Then to find it in my own mailbox was quite a surprise! This card features the new set found in the Occasions mini. It is called Vintage Vogue. THANKS NANCY!
Look at the RAK I received from my upline, Barabara Welch! You can find more details on this darling calendar project on her blog, HERE. It is so cool how it is put together. You flip it around to view the other sides of it and it is held all together at the bottom with a ribbon. SUCH A CREATIVE design! I LOVE having a calendar next to my computer. THANKS BARBARA!!
Look what the mailman brought this week!!! Oh my goodness, I was THRILLED to receive this beautiful card from my good friend Nancy Riley! This was her Christmas thank you card. I just love the layout of this design!! Nancy got this from a sketch challenge. I think this is one of my most favorite sketches! Anyhow, you can find out more about this card on Nancy’s blog over at iSTAMP. Thank you Nancy! I LOVE everything about this card!
Santa’s sleigh must have been parked outside our house today!! Look at all the goodies that arrived!!
This first batch of YUMMY treats came from my most recent downline, Cheryl. She is quite the cook! She made a darling card to go along with my Christmas treats. LOVE the colors in it, pink and red. (Hey this would make an awesome Valentine’s Card, too!!) What a sweetheart, THANK YOU CHERYL!! I have already been into these treats, they are SO GOOD!! My family is thankful, too!
This tasty treat is from another downline, Jessica. She is a really great cook! These pretzel sticks not only have chocolate on them, but there is a layer of caramel underneath! I already begged Jessica for lessons on how to make these.
Isn’t this card cute and creative? There is a funny story behind it, too. We were at convention and a gal was there making cards like this. We all stood around her and REALLY wanted to swap with her! She was in the middle of her production line, and wasn’t able to swap (I think they were for an organized swap so she didn’t have extra) so we were snapping pictures left and right. Then we couldn’t figure out what FLOWER stamp she used to make her gingerbread out of. It is from the set Fabulous Flowers. The little Santa gift tag is SO CUTE, made out of punches. UPDATE! I got an email from the gal I just described above!! She noticed the card on my blog and sent me a note. Her name is: Jan McGowan and her blog can be found HERE. She had the original gingerbread idea. The next drop off came from my friend, Jenn. She packaged her goodies up SO CUTE, with an ornament plate filled with all kinds of my favorite goodies! (Oh that’s right, I need to SHARE these with my family!!) Mmmm….. Check out the embossed medallion sticker that has the snowflake on it, with their family’s name on it! CUTE!!! She and I have kids a couple years apart, so we are always calling each other with more paper crafting KID IDEAS! THANK YOU everyone, for your kindness, and your SWEET gifts (no pun intended….)
Look at what my upline, Barbara Welch brought me today! (Her blog can be found HERE.) She is ONE CREATIVE stamper, and really, is part of my heritage doing what I’m doing! I can still remember the day Barbara came over to explain to me what it meant to be a Stampin’ Up demonstrator…..and the rest is history!! 🙂
Isn’t this just beautiful???? It is a clear glass plate with an INTERCHANGABLE center part. In the picture below, you can see the other centers I can CHANGE with the seasons! They have velcro on the back so you easily change the the centers out. HOW CLEVER! I absolultely LOVE this. THANK YOU BARBARA!! What a sweetheart!
