Isn’t this one of the most beautiful cards you’ve ever seen? I think it is pretty AMAZING! I think I better frame this one! Nancy Riley sent me this the other day. You can find out details on how she made this on her blog at iSTAMP. THANKS NANCY!!
Tonight was a very special night! My friend, Nancy Riley, and her daughter Allie, came over for a little Christmas celebration! (She brought DINNER along with, so we had a nice YUMMY MEAL together, too!) It was quite the effort because if you have been following Nancy’s blog, you know she had foot surgery and it isn’t the easiest thing for her to get around. She is doing a lot better, but still has a ways to go before she is back to normal.
I am SO EXCITED to share with you an early Christmas gift I received from Nancy. (In case you haven’t seen her blog, it is AMAZING, and can be found HERE.) Be SURE and go to her blog because you will see even MORE pictures (up close and personal, plus side views) and details on how she created this BEAUTIFUL Advent Calendar. I knew she’d be posting this project on her blog, and I laughed as I thought HOW IN THE HECK IS SHE GOING TO PUT THE RECIPE TO THIS PROJECT?????
I’m not kidding, I feel like I won the lottery when I received this!!! My adrenaline was going as I pulled the gift out of the bag. It is GORGEOUS! I wish you could see it in person, the DETAILS on this are amazing!!! The tins can be filled with candy and then each day you get a treat as you count down how many days left until Christmas (and more than likely gain POUNDS! LOL)
Nancy is such an amzing stamper, and I am BLESSED by her friendship. She is truly one of a kind. I know many of you follow her blog and are also inspired by her work. I wish you could all meet her in person because she is one of the sweetest, most genuine and humble gals I know. This gift means so much to me because I know it took many, many HOURS of her time. THANK YOU NANCY!!!!!!! (I’m kind of sheepish to post what I made for you after a gift like that! …I will do like you and post it tomorrow.)
In case you don’t know me, I am more of a behind the scenes type of person. That’s why I hesitate to even mention this. HOWEVER, I want to share what I received from my creative stamping friends!!
Last week was my birthday. Birthdays come WAY too often, so I try to DOWNPLAY them, but WOW did I ever get spoiled this year! Here are some of the awesome cards I got from some friends of mine!
This first card is from Adriana. This is SUCH A CLEVER card! Did you notice the fruit and how it simulates “B DAY”? You are just TOO CREATIVE Adriana! And of course, Adriana used my all time favorite summer stamp set, Tart and Tangy! YUMMY!
This card is from Diana. You can’t see it in the picture, but there are dry embossed scrolly borders on each corner. Even the ENVELOPE was decorated to the hilt! This is such a beautiful card! This card came from Ginny. I wish you could see it in person! The “L” has shimmery embossing on it. It is STUNNING! She used the Big Shot on this card, with faux stitching. She also used all my favorite colors in this!! What a beautiful card!!
Terri came up with this card for me! I always comment on Terri’s eye for design AND COLOR! She has a natural talent for that! This card is actually an 8 1/2 x 11 just folded in half. So it is LARGE! I love everytthing about this card!!
My friend, Chris, created this one. Chris has a unique style. You can’t really tell in the picture, but there is a vellum overlay on this card. I know that vellum is one of her favorite papers to use. Isn’t this gorgeous?
This unique gift was given to me by Nancy Riley. I call this my BIRTHDAY BLING in Tempting Turquoise! This darling paint can (with ACETATE) was plump full of fun things! There is a BLING tank top, BLING pen that looks like lipstick, a bookmark with a BLING jewel in the center, BLING jewel stickers, felt flowers with BLING in the center, and BLING turquoise Stickles! What more could a girl ask for?
Last but not least, I want to share the card my son made. Brady is 4 years old. He enjoys stamping as much as I do! Here is one of his creations without stamps. The card says “You Rock Mom”. Isn’t that the cutest thing? He MELTS my heart (and he KNOWS it! He has been known to say, “Mom, did I melt your heart?”) LOL The inside has a picture of us holding hands. AAAwwwwww!
I promise, this is the last picture. Here are my two sweeties, stamping some pictures. Dan is such an awesome dad. He will do anything for his kids, including STAMPING with them, and posing for a picture. (He’d DIE if he knew this was on my stamping blog, though! Shhhh don’t tell!)
Look what the mailman brought this weeekend! Patti and I have become buddies after convention. We didn’t swap with each other at convention, but both had some left after we got home, so we swapped through the mail! Here are the goodies I received. Isn’t Patti creative and talented? Love her ideas….I’m especially loving this punch book she made. It is filled with all the punches Stampin’ Up carries (except the NEW ones that just became available this week in the NEW CATALOG!) THANKS PATTI!!!
Patti hasn’t entered the blogging world yet, but her AWESOME SCS Gallery can be found HERE.
I had an awesome mail day today and received this BEAUTIFUL card from Nancy Riley. I was OOohing and AAahhhing over this card when she first posted it on her blog a few weeks ago. You can see the details HERE on her blog. Isn’t this color combo YUMMY? What a treat to have a Nancy Original in my hands! 🙂 Thanks Nancy!!
Look at what I received in the mail yesterday! It’s a Nancy Riley original! You can read more about it on her blog, iSTAMP. Check it out HERE.
I just LOVE this card and the paper she chose. You can’t tell here, but the flower is on dimensionals and POPS!
MADE MY DAY! Thanks Nancy! 🙂
My daughter, Brittany, and I were invited to a bridal shower today. It was hosted by my friend Ginny Schembri. Ginny is one of my downline, and a fellow weSTAMPER! EVERYONE who came to the shower today went home with this gift set!!! Can you believe Ginny made 40 of these sets?
Ginny went to Nancy Riley’s class to learn how to make these adorable gift sets. You can find Nancy’s version from her class on her blog HERE.
FUN MAIL DAYS this weekend! Here are a couple of RAK’s from fellow stampers.
The first one is from my downline, Ginny. Ginny is an awesome stamper with VERY creative ideas! I love how she used the chicks in the circle punch. Ginny, like me, is a GLITTER QUEEN! We can never get enough of that stuff! There is glitter on the chicks. Look at the details, even the chicks have rosy cheeks!! LOL I love the color combo used here, just a beautiful, FUN Easter card! Thanks Ginny!
This next card is from of my VERY REGULAR stamper friend who comes to my monthly classes. Her name is Rochelle, and I just LOVE her stamping style! I have been inspired by many of her cards. When I think of Rochelle, I think of YELLOW, and am wondering if that is one of her favorite colors. I am so excited because I have this set and can CASE this one!! WOOHOOO! I love the message this card brings, the whole reason for the Easter season, the resurrection of CHRIST! Thanks Rochelle, for a BEAUTIFUL CARD!
On that note, I will wish all of you a very BLESSED EASTER!!! Be sure and reflect on holiday’s meaning, and the price that was paid for you and I!!!
I just had to share some RAK’s from my downline! Aren’t these the cutest, YUMMY looking things you’ve seen?
The first one was made by Anne. She planned a baby shower for her friend and came up with these darling name tent-cards and cookie party favor. I LOVE her choice of colors! Brown and blue are SO “IN”! Notice the wheels on the baby toy are made with mini buttons. CUTE CUTE! Thanks so much, Anne, for sharing with me!
This treat was made by Jessica. She made a bunch of these for the Valentine Party our kids went to today. The treat inside the bag is a long pretzel stick first dipped in caramel, and then chocolate. It is drizzled with red and white frosting. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! Mmmmmmm! I love how she used the tag from the Happy Heart Day stamp set. Thanks for sharing, Jessica!! Cute idea…..
Look at what my sideline, Nancy Riley, gave me this weekend! I got a mailbox FULL of Valentine surprises!!! Holy cow, I felt like it was Christmas all over again! Look at all the fun embellies, not to mention the CUTEST card using the Happy Heart Day set! It is a HEART THEMED gift and you can guess, it touched my HEART!
Nancy has details on her blog on how she made the mailbox and card. You can view that HERE
THANK YOU SO MUCH NANCY!!!!
Here is a beautiful Christmas card I received from my downline, Ginny Schembri! I LOVE the DP and Sage Shadow color with this design! Notice the Cuttlebug snowflakes in the background. What you probably can’t see is the snowflake is embossed and it has a type of glitter in the embossing powder. REALLY CUTE, thanks Ginny!
