Greeting Card Kids Valentine

I have to admit these little Greeting Card Kids are growing on me! I saw Jen Sannes layout HERE, and fell in love with it! I put some of our current DSP with it and the little Valentine girl and VOILA! I also used Iridescent Ice to give the image a glimmer look to it.

Recipe:

  • Stamp Sets: Greeting Card Kids, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Paper: Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Twitterpated DSP, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze, Blush Blossom, Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake
  • Accessories: Iridescent Ice, Versa Mark Pad, Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon, 2 3/8″ Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals

Here is the same sketch using different paper. The Red Glimmer paper is so fun to work with!

Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holder

I LOVE tone on tone projects. This little stocking holds a Starbucks gift card. I saw a version of this on Stampin’ Connection by DeAnn Rauzi. Stampin’ Connection is website available to all Stampin’ Up demonstrators, a place for INSPIRATION!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Accessories: Holiday Stocking Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Snowburst Embossing Folder, Victoria Crochet Trim, Very Vanilla 5/8″ Seam Binding, Antique Brads, Jingle Bells, Linen Thread, Brayer, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint

I brayered up the front side of the Snow Burst embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink, then put the stocking in there. That is how you get the snowflake to resist the color, so it looks lighter than the other parts of the stocking.

When it was all finished I made a mist spray out of hand sanitizer (when that is empty I keep refilling it with rubbing alcohol) and about 1/8 t. of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

weSTAMP Swap

Here is my weSTAMP swap for this month. Our theme was using something from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Paper. The sleigh is made using the Top Note Die.

Here’s how I made the bottom part of the sleigh:

CPC (Creating Pretty Cards) Challenge 1

Craft Project Central is hosting a monthly card challenge! They will provide a sketch challenge each month! Each week their project designers will pick their top two favorites. At the end of the month the designers will vote on a favorite (out of the eight), and the winner will receive a $50 Stampin’ Up! shopping spree! Check out the Pretty Card Challenge details!

Here is the July sketch!

Here is my card! The bottom part of the image with the kids on it is cork, which is simulating a bulletin board. I then added a black brad as the bulletin board “tack”.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Greeting Card Kids, Teeny Tiny Wishes, School Lines
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Stazon Black, Daffodil Delight, Not Quite Navy, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede
Accessories: Naturally Serif Sizzlit Decorative Strip Die, Black Brad, 1/8″ Taffeta Basic Black Ribbon, Dimensionals

Sail Away Masculine Card

Here’s a card we made at Stamp Club this month! The sailboat image is stamped on canvas fabric with Stazon ink. To get the frayed edges, all you have to do is RIP the fabric!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Sail Away, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Matey’s Map Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Naturals Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede, Black Stazon
Accessories: Antique Brad, Early Espresso Baker’s Twine, Hemp Twine, Dauber, Distressing Tool

To make a square knot out of the hemp twine, refer to the video I have in this post HERE.

In case you didn’t know this about me, I LOVE CANDY CORN anything! In fact, I could probably officially say I started collecting candy corn decorations. So……here is a tribute to my little addiction!
