I have to admit these little Greeting Card Kids are growing on me! I saw Jen Sannes layout HERE, and fell in love with it! I put some of our current DSP with it and the little Valentine girl and VOILA! I also used Iridescent Ice to give the image a glimmer look to it.
I LOVE tone on tone projects. This little stocking holds a Starbucks gift card. I saw a version of this on Stampin’ Connection by DeAnn Rauzi. Stampin’ Connection is website available to all Stampin’ Up demonstrators, a place for INSPIRATION!
I brayered up the front side of the Snow Burst embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink, then put the stocking in there. That is how you get the snowflake to resist the color, so it looks lighter than the other parts of the stocking.
When it was all finished I made a mist spray out of hand sanitizer (when that is empty I keep refilling it with rubbing alcohol) and about 1/8 t. of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.
Craft Project Central is hosting a monthly card challenge! They will provide a sketch challenge each month! Each week their project designers will pick their top two favorites. At the end of the month the designers will vote on a favorite (out of the eight), and the winner will receive a $50 Stampin’ Up! shopping spree! Check out the Pretty Card Challenge details!
Here is the July sketch!
Here is my card! The bottom part of the image with the kids on it is cork, which is simulating a bulletin board. I then added a black brad as the bulletin board “tack”. Recipe:
