Cool Treats Card

I CASED my friend Becky Roberts on this card – I received her card about 1 1/2 years ago in a swap we were both in, and it was one of my all-time favorite cards! I just changed a couple colors and also made the ice cream bar 3-D by adding a layer of fun foam in between layers. Fun foam cuts like butter using your Big Shot and framelits!

Sadly, this stamp set and framelits are retiring. I will miss these!

To make the orange dreamsicle, I stamped off (stamp on scrap paper first)the solid stamp, then stamped full strength for the stripes on it.

The graffiti stamp in the background is from the stamp set Swirly Bird, and stamped in Pink Pirouette ink.

Cool Treats Projects

I held a Birthday Stamp a Stack class last month and this was one of the projects they created. These are created on our note cards, which is a bargain! 20 note cards already scored and envelopes included for only $6! See the recipe below to see how to make these. If you don’t have Gorgeous Grunge, you need to order that! That stamp set is on my TOP 5 ALL TIME FAVORITE STAMP SETS EVER! It will be retiring this month and no longer available. You are guaranteed to get it if you order before May 22nd, after that it’s while supplies last.

This card is all over Pinterest, I believe Shannon West was the originator of it (correct me if I’m wrong). I just had to CASE it 100%!

Easter Photos plus Cool Treats Card

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you had a great day celebrating Christ’s resurrection!

I wanted to share with you a cute story. We have been talking about Christ’s death on the cross a lot this Easter season with our grandkids, plus visiting the Easter bunny and making Easter crafts, too. On Easter Sunday our grandaughter, Stella, asked her mama, “Does the Easter bunny help Jesus?” Oh from the mouth’s of babes! Little Stella’s mind is trying to piece this all together!!!!

Here’s a treat I made for the kiddos for Easter, it’s chocolate pudding with Oreos on top. The carrots are strawberries dipped in white chocolate that has been colored orange! They were a hit!

Last but not least, a project using Cool Treats! I love that stamp set! I’m so glad it’s going to be in the new catalog, BUT it won’t be bundled so you can save 10% I recommend getting it now at the bundled price and save 10% by getting the framelits and stamp set!

It’s hard to see in the photo, but the chocolate is made shiny by adding the glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen! I first saw the chocolate idea on Raquelle Clifton’s blog and loved the idea! I used her card sketch to come up with a slightly different version.

More weRETREAT Photos – COOL TREATS Projects

Here’s a couple of treat containers, one of them was a pillow gift at the weRETREAT. I found Erica Cerwin’s video tutorial on how to make these HERE. The thing I LOVE about this pattern is you can make the back piece as long as you want it, to fit whatever treat you put inside!

As I said earlier, the theme of the retreat was Summer FUN! All my make and takes were “Cool Treats” related. Here’s a little ice cream stand! The awning is scored at 1/4″ and 1″.

Those face coasters are a HOOT! Here are some more photos from our photo booth on Saturday night!
