Here’s my November Gnome! I love changing out the item this little gnome is holding! This month is a big turkey drumstick that he’s already been gnawing on! LOL

You can get this project in my Cozy Craft Retreat PDF tutorial HERE. This tutorial features 22 projects, including this monthly gnome project! This would make a great Christmas gift!

Paper Adventures Blog Hop – Poinsettia Place Bundle

What a blessing to be asked to be to be a guest designer for Paper Adventures blog hop today! I had a pretty full week with classes and remodeling going on in our home, but I didn’t want to pass up this opportunity! Thank you for inviting me to participate in this fun blog hop, Paper Adventures team!

The theme of the blog hop was “packaging”. They didn’t restrict the projects to any certain theme, but how could I pass up the opportunity for creating a Christmas theme? I have fallen in love with the Poinsettia Place Suite, even though I don’t create a lot of floral and elegant type projects. This project seemed to come together nicely. I was so glad our theme was packaging because I need a lot of these type projects to get me through the holiday season that will soon be here!

The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are so fun to decorate for packaging. You know us paper crafters – it’s all about the PACKAGE! You can fit many of our Note Cards & Envelopes (in the Annual Catalog) inside this box. This would make a beautiful gift filled with Christmas cards, or even thank you cards for after Christmas! You could coordinate the cards by using more of the Poinsettia Place Bundle products!

I like to mix gold and silver in jewelry, but for some reason, when it comes paper crafting, I don’t like to mix those two colors. I wanted to use the Beaded Pearls on this project, but I wasn’t crazy about the silver on them when I had more of a gold-themed proejct. I discovered that you can color on the outer edge of the pearls with our Bronze Blends and it turns to a golden color!

I used our Gold Foil Sheets for one layer of the poinsettia, and for the two small gold bands. I ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Subtle 3-D Embossing Folder. I love the look of that embossing folder on the Gold Foil Sheets!

All of the stamping on this project was done using the Versamark Pad, then embossed in Gold Embossing Powder using our Heat Tool. I fussy cut the gold embossed Merry Christmas Sentiment. I used many Dimensionals on this project to give a lot of POP to my layers!

Here is a PDF to help you with dimensions for the paper covering the box: Poinsettia Gift Box

I hope you are enjoyed this project, and look forward to the rest of the blog hoppers! I am confident you will get some great ideas for packaging your treats and gifts! Next on the HOP is Siobhan’s project. Her link is below.

Halloween Fun!

Brittany is UBER creative in many ways – here’s proof!

I added a little PDF so you could see how she captured the characters for their Candyland game themed costume!

Brook and Shannon’s family discovered Mario Brothers this year (RETRO!!!! LOL) and the kids LOVED getting dressed up for this event. They went camping a few days before Halloween and celebrated in the park and AGAIN at home with their friends! Here’s Jack in his Luigi costume! I love his TUMMY! Looks like he might have eaten all the candy! LOL

I love how the whole family gets into celebrating with the kids. Now if only Grammy could stay out of their candy stash….. LOL
