I was inspired by this card on Pinterest, but wanted it to fit into the Stampin’ Up envelope (Small Open-End Envelopes- item #107286). Here’s what I came up with! You could use this for Valentine’s Day, or as a birthday card. The sentiment inside says, “Happy Birthday With a Cherry on the Top!”
Did you know you can re-color the silver Glimmer Paper to any color? Just put a dot of reinker on a glass block, and use your Aqua Painter on the Glimmer Paper! I used Pretty in Pink reinker to recolor this heart. It’s hard to see in this photo but the malt cup is embossed with the Striped Embossing Folder. To dowload the malt pattern, click HERE.
Recipe:
- Stamp Set: A Word For You
- Ink: Chocolate Chip (edges of malt cup sponged in this)
- Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Brushed Silver, Glimmer Red & Silver
- Accessories: 3/4″ Circle Punch (cherry), Heart Punch, Linen Thread (cherry stem), Straw (found on Etsy), Blushing Brid 1/2″ Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Striped & Elegant Lines Embossing Folders, Pretty in Pink Reinker, Aqua Painter
NOTES: Cut an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock in half the long way, so it now measure 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score the long side at 5 1/2″. Place the malt cup pattern on top of the card, with the fold lining up with the top of the malt cup. Cut one piece of “ice cream” and after running it through the Big Shot, then just tape this piece to the front of the card.
A real beauty. You have made it so life like!
