Here are more retreat projects – you can see that many projects use the Farmhouse Suite. That’s because many of their swag bag items were from that suite! This card design is perfect for showcasing coordinating Designer Series Paper! The small squares are 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″.
This card features Falling for Leaves! The die cuts are so intricate and NICE to work with! I am also doing a class (local or kit), featuring this stamp set and dies. You can read more about it HERE. Deadline to RSVP for this class is Oct. 1st.
Four breakout classes were offered. One of them was a Stamp a Stack All Occasion. (12 cards, 4 designs, 3 each). This was one of the designs – they could design the front with whatever occasion they needed. I listed ideas below to help them. I love the stamp set Better Together! You can hit every occasion with one stamp set!
The photo below was just showing different ideas to help them with the top part of their card.
Here’s a table gift the gals received, it’s a little Stampin’ Up trash bin filled with “white trash” treats inside! Basically you just add the food you like and mix it with vanilla almond bark! The popcorn is Chester’s Puffed Corn (looks like packing peanuts – I teased the gals and said packing peanuts were the mystery item in there LOL)
Here’s a simple card – what you can’t see in the photo is the whole front of the card is spritzed with our new Frost Shimmer Paint. You just put a tad bit in our spritzer bottles, then fill the rest with rubbing alcohol. There is a nice shimmer to the WHOLE CARD!!!!
We had a swap contest for the gals, and here’s the winning card! Isn’t this adorable! Pat Brannin was the winner – she was our “ROYALTY” and got to bask in it with a crown! LOL She used the “eclipse” technique. Such a cute card for Halloween!
Here she is with her prize, the whole kit and caboodle for Santa’s Workshop Cards on page 21 of the holiday catalog! WAY TO GO PAT!!!!!
One of the gifts in their swag bag was Washi Tape, that is part of the Farmhouse suite. That’s such an easy way to make a fun Christmas tree! All these products are in our new holiday catalog (catalog link on right side bar).
This card has some dimension to it, the vanilla front cardstock is popped up, away from the background. Such an sweet and simple card that is easy to duplicate and use for your Christmas cards this year!
Here’s some of the ladies, getting busy with all their projects!
We had a massage therapist set up shop to give a break to those who were interested. She was SO AWESOME! I wish I would have booked 2 sessions back to back. This is a MUST at a retreat!!!
Susanna (on the left) flew in from IL and helped me SO MUCH, not only from afar in her home, but also came in early for all the last minute things. We got a lot of laughs in, as well as a LOT of work! I am so thankful for her help!!!!! The gal on the right (Kori) – I can thank my hubby for my new friend! Dan and Brady play paintball with her son. Dan shared what I do for my hobby/passion and kept telling me, Lorri, I KNOW Kori would be interested in your event! I was so blessed to meet her in person at the Cozy Craft Retreat!!
We had a bunch of break out classes during the weekend. Gina Shappa taught two of them, and is the creative genius behind these two projects! The top photo is a fall sampler. This photo doesn’t do it justice! Each square lights up! The center square is like a real pallet board. This is jaw-dropping gorgeous! Gina is one of the most creative gals EVER!
This spell book also lights up! The eyeball in the center of the book glows. Once you open the book, you can put whatever you want inside! It’s super cute and will make a nice addition to my Halloween decor!
Gina is the gal in the black shirt in the back row.
This is one of our cards we made, I LOVE the checkered background stamp!!!
Here’s another card using Peaceful Poinsettia stamps! The top and bottom of the inside of the card are decorated with Washi Tape, which they received in their swag bag.
This past weekend was so much fun, I thoroughly enjoyed the Cozy Craft Retreat weekend with some creative gals! I have been waiting a long time to share the projects and photos of the events!
Becca Matlock was so sweet to gift me with the Cozy Craft Retreat sign that her daughter and son in law made. Isn’t it beautiful? I will be able to use that each year!
Here are the swag bags that each attendee received. The bags were ordered online. I used my Silhouette to create the truck and tree theme, then used using heat transfer vinyl to apply to the bag. The bag is topped off with a buffalo checkered ribbon, a rusty jingle bell, and a tag with each gal’s name on it.
Here is a photo of the products that came in the bag, along with kits for 12 make and takes. I will be sharing more of this throughout the next few days!
I truly could not have done this event without the help of my team. Becca Matlock and Susanna Cunningham were right there beside me and did so much to help me!!! I am so thankful for a team that believes in me and my vision! Thank you two from the bottom of my heart! When the gals arrived, they received a cute little Stampin’ Up logo apron treat box, made by Becca. I ordered their personalized rubber stamp from Rubberstamps.com. I designed the stamp to resemble a UPC symbol and then the words “Handmade by ______ with their name on it. That way they could stamp the back of their cards when they were finished!
The next table gift is a darling little sour cream container. This thinlit die is available now in the holiday catalog. Aren’t these cute? Susanna made these for me, I love everything about this project, and I love all the new products on it!
I have SO MUCH MORE to share! Come back and visit for MORE PROJECTS and GOODIES! This is a great way to kick off the season with some fun ideas!

To get the embossing on the focal point square AND the background, just place the cut square piece on top of the card front, then run both of them through the Big Shot. Once that’s done, remove the square and place a colored piece of cardstock behind the square. Be sure and add dimensionals behind the squares to give it a POP!
