I love the look of pallet board, so I combined the sunflower from Painted Harvest with it. I love the contrast!
To make the pallet wood background , I cut the pieces 4 1/4″ x 1 3/8″, 4 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ and 4 1/4″ x 1 5/8″ and then used a file to rough up the edges. Ink the edges of the wood Designer Series Paper with Soft Suede ink so you don’t see the white paper. Adhere them with Dimensionals so just a BIT of the cardstock underneath shows through.
How about a sweet puppy for Christmas? Don’t you just love “Bella and Friends” stamp set?
I saw Dani Tauzin’s card where she put Bella in a box and had to run with it! I couldn’t decide which version I preferred so I did a couple. Which is your favorite?
Here are some hints:
I used the Bella that was facing the turtle on Crumb Cake and cut out (color by hand so you don’t get the line in his ear from the balloon string
Gift box is 1 3/4” x 1 3/4” and lid is 1 3/4” x 1/2”
Red ribbon is 1/4” – I cut a strip and trimmed it to fit the box exact
Bella has a Dimensional behind his head and box lid has Dimensionals
Here’s a fun little “tent box” that we made at the Cozy Craft Retreat, SUPER simple to make! I love Pootle’s blog (aka: Sam Hammond – she’s a sweetie!!!) and all her great ideas for projects! I found her VIDEO! (YAY!) HERE. I’m such a VISUAL learner! I turned it into a holiday project.
I trimmed my Designer Series Paper a little bit. I made mine 3″ across. I cut a 3″ x 6″ AND a 3″ x 3″ piece of DSP and adhered them together. That way it was long enough to wrap around the whole thing.
This past weekend I spent time with some of the most amazing ladies on this planet! We headed up to Flagstaff to spend time together in a cozy cabin (and it was nice to get away from this HEAT in Phoenix!) This was my 2nd weekend retreat!
This summer I spent some time with Tamra Davis in China and Thailand on the Stampin’ Up Incentive Trip. I was intrigued with her business with her hubby. They do all kinds of printing! You name it, they can print it! I emailed my vision to her and she helped me tweak it – I was so happy with the results! It’s hard to see, but the white writing on the black bag is actually in white glimmer!
This is the bag tag, created using Stampin’ Up’s Red Glimmer Paper. It was PERFECT for this bag! The back of the tag has the Stampin’ Up Statement of the Heart stamped on it. I sprinkled a “heartbeat” theme to many things this weekend. The reason I chose a “heart beat” is because I feel like friends and paper crafting are my LIFE-LINE! It was so fun to run with this theme!
The first night’s pillow gift always includes EAR PLUGS! LOL Here’s a kind of retro gift with a Rudolph theme to it! The Rudolph box has Rolo chocolate candy in it. I saw Susan Campfield’s Rudolph box idea HERE and knew this could work with the Abominable Snowman idea! I purchased the Abominable Snowman pattern from the Silhouette store and shrunk him down quite a bit!
I hope you enjoy these – I have a lot to share from the weekend!
Don’t forget to stamp your envelope! (pictured above)

One of my dear friends (Becky Roberts) lost her sweet pet Sarah last week – it’s so hard to say good by to our furry animals!
I made this card for her using Bella and Friends, one of my favorite sets! Bella is a perfect stamp for water coloring and shading! My favorite way to watercolor is using Aqua Painters and reinkers!
A lot of people want to see my craft studio when they are at my home. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I show them, I start apologizing for the mess they are about to see. Today I decided to clean up my act so it’s more fun to work in my studio! (Note: I don’t want to create now and just want to bask in the clean room – I don’t think it’s ever been like this! LOL) It’s amazing how FREEING it is to have a clean room!
Onward….. at least it was clean for about a half an hour! LOL Reality is about to set in!
