Here’s a gift card holder that we made at our Cozy Craft Retreat last month. I just love the Cookie Cutter Bundle! These little gingerbread are hanging out on a cookie sheet and you can see that one gingerbread got part of his head bitten off.
Next month will be my LAST BANNER class! It has been so much fun planning these classes!
It’s hard to see in this photo, but the “believe” letters are in Red Glimmer Paper. You can add your own photos to the mats.
I will have a local event in Cave Creek, AZ, on Nov. 21st where you can come and create the banner and if you need the frame, you can purchase that as well. Please refer to my class schedule HERE if you are interested in attending the local event.
IF you are out of town, and would like the kit and pdf instructions, please email me and let me know. Kit cost is $25 plus shipping. You will receive a full pack of Candy Cane Lane DSP AND a full pack of clothespins, plus everything you see here in the photo (excluding the frame). Even the felt ball garland is included! NOTE: NO IMAGES WILL BE STAMPED OR PUNCHED OUT. It is a good idea to purchase the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle to go with this banner kit!!!!
I’m so sorry, but if you purchase the banner kit online (and not local), the chicken wire frame isn’t an option because the shipping is just too much!
At the Cozy Craft Retreat last month, we had a gift exchange. This is what I made. I don’t think the frames are available anymore, I had some left from a few years ago when Stampin’ Up had them. I love making Halloween projects!
I also included a photo of how I wrapped it. I made a banner from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set and added some ribbon.
Here’s a Halloween Sampler using current Stampin’ Up products. My downline, Gina Shappa, did a class on this. Isn’t this amazing? She is one of the most creative gals I know! Her blog can be found HERE. I think this is my favorite Halloween decoration I own! I wish you could see it in person, there is so much detail to this!
The unique thing about this sampler is the witch’s brew that LIGHTS UP! Here are two photos of it, one lit and one not lit. This jar has a window sheet on top of it, so it is shiny like a real jar.
This book has a wrinkly front and is real sturdy with chipboard underneath.
The haunted house has been cut down a bit so it doesn’t stick out so far.
I think this last square is one of my favorites. The bird cage is stamped on to a window sheet. It is popped up (there is a window shape made into a loop on the back). That is a real chain – super tiny!!!!
Here’s a little Mummy Kerr jar with a tea light inside. It’s so cute lit up at night – the mummy glows! We made this at my Cozy Craft Retreat this month.
All I did to make this was rip muslin into 1″ strips and use some hot glue to secure it in a few places.
Here’s a silly photo of everyone who attended! Sue Parker photo-shopped two gals in who went to shop in Flagstaff. What a fun group of girls…….
Here’s a Halloween project we made at the retreat. I LOVE the syringe pens filled with “BLOOD” for Halloween! Aren’t they FUN? I found them on ebay HERE.
Erica Cerwin used these last year and made a cute little holder for them, so I CASED her pattern HERE. (It’s a VIDEO, YAY!) Erica is such a creative stamper!!!!! Loved getting to know her even better at Founder’s Circle last year!In addition to our regular Make and Takes, there were also 3 break out sessions of classes offered. Here are the gals at the Stamp a Stack class, where they each made 20 cards.
We had a nice bonfire the first night, complete with s’mores!
This past weekend was the Cozy Craft Retreat in Flagstaff, AZ. It is the first overnight retreat I have done, so I was very excited to get one under my belt. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed the whole process!Of course, an event like this could never happen without some HELP! These gals are near and dear to my heart. Pictured above you will see Donna Gagnon and Becca Matlock. This weekend would have NOT happened without their amazing help! Donna was in charge of food, she fed this army all weekend long! And we’re not talking pizza and sandwiches! She made pork tenderloin one night, we had southern biscuits and gravy, chicken enchiladas, and countless other YUMMY MEALS!!!!! I’m not a fan of cooking, so this was such a blessing for her to share her gift of hospitality and cooking with our group! Becca was my sounding board and that inner voice that I could bounce countless ideas off of. It was so valuable to have a friend like that who let me think out loud. I love both of these gals SO MUCH!!!!
When the gals arrived, they all received a Swag Bag. This is what the bags looked like: I purchased the burlap bags at Hobbly Lobby, then used my Silhouette machine to create an iron on that said cozy.craft.retreat. All their make and takes and goodies were in there. They received the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle (stamps and punch) plus a full pack of coordinating DSP (Candy Cane Lane). We used those products over and over again during the weekend.
I was amazed at how far some traveled for this event! We had attendees from NM, CA, IL, and AZ of course! I was honored they would travel this far to attend this retreat! Many didn’t know anyone, so we had an activity planned when everyone arrived. It’s called “Speed Dating”. Basically we formed 2 lines and every 2 minutes one line would move to the right. The gals chatted and found out as much as they could in 2 minutes about that person. This activity is so much fun!
It’s just not a true Stampin’ Up event without pillow gifts! The first night’s gift was Starbucks cups that had either coffee, tea or water on the label. I purchased the cups at Starbucks (they had the logo on them) but added the outside label with vinyl.
Everyone received earplugs, as well. You just never know……
Here’s a fun little box for some Halloween treats! I found the tutorial for this little gem on Pootle’s blog, which can be found HERE. Have you discovered Pootles (Sam Hammond)? She’s an amazing creative gal that I got to meet on the Stampin’ Up Incentive trip on the Mediterranean cruise this year!
Here’s a photo of us at one of the shows. You will lose track of time on her blog, BEWARE!
Here’s a fun little Ghiradelli holder! You’re going to LOVE this hostess set! Best thing ever: during the month of June, you can earn an extra $35 in hostess products once your workshop hits $350! Share your catalog with your friends to help you reach that mark!
I found a video on how to make this treat holder on Pinterest HERE. Jana is from Germany, and so is her video, so I had to do some converting.
The paper is cut at 6″ x 4″
Score the 4″ side at 1″ & 3″
Score the 6″ side at 2 3/4″ & 3 1/4″
The rest of the recipe can be found below.
