Owl Plus White Trash

What would we do without PINTEREST??? I found an owl similar to this on Pinterest, plus it had a link to a “White Trash” recipe, which is in the bag.

Here’s the link to the White Trash recipe HERE.

Recipe for Owl Topper:

  • Paper: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
  • Accessories: Top Note Die, 1 3/4″ – 1 3/8″ – 1″ – 1/2″ Circle Punches, Beak is handcut, Cello Bag (4×6)

Subway Art Frame

One of my UBER creative and talented downline, Rachele Sanclemente, made this frame for my craft room. (You have heard about Rachele before, check out this post HERE.)This vinyl art is inside a “floating glass” frame. The vinyl is actually tucked between the two window frames. She made the vinyl subway art on her Cameo Silhouette machine!
She was so sweet to send me the file so I could recreate this on my Cameo and make some more to give as gifts! The saying is the Stampin’ Up Statement of the Heart. THANK YOU RACHELE!

I had to share a card my son made this morning for his sister’s birthday. We have been dog sitting for Brittany and Blake while they were on their honeymoon. Dodger (on the left) is a brussels griffon. Our dog, Max, is a Yorkie. They have had fun together! Brady made a pop up card showcasing the dogs. He even taped some newspaper to the floor of the card that also pops up when you open it. The newspaper says HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOO (Brittany’s nickname) on it. He’s a son after my own heart……love that kid!

St. Patty’s Day Treats

I enjoy making fun SWEET treats for my stamp classes. This was my St. Patrick’s Day tribute this month! I have made this microwave caramel corn many times for my classes. You can find the recipe in a previous post HERE. This time I also melted chocolate baking chips (not chocolate chips, the chips that get hard when cooled – I sometimes use chocolate almond bark) and drizzled it ontop, then once it cooled I did another layer with white chocolate drizzled ontop. This is so sweet it will make your teeth curl! I found the cute St. Patty’s Day pot to put the caramel corn in at Hobbly Lobby. The leprechaun on the skewer is made with Stampin’ Up punches. Recipe for Leprechaun:Paper: Garden Green, Brushed Gold, Blushing Bride, Pumpkin Pie, Basic BlackPunches: Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot Die (larger one of the two, used for the tag), 2 1/2″ Circle Punch (brushed gold circle on tag), Scallop Circle Punch (hair), 1 3/8″ Circle Punch (face), 1/2″ Circle Punch (nose and use a dimensional under it), 5 Petal Punch (mustache), Cupcake Punch (circles from this are used for the eyes), Word Window Punch (brim of hat), 1/4″ Circle Punch (ears)I hand cut the hat and buckle for the hat. Then I glued the skewer on the back side and added another 2 1/2″ Garden Green circle punch to cover up the backside where you see the skewer.

Recipe for Mint Brownies:1 C flour1 C sugar1/2 C softened butter4 eggs1 can Hersheys chocolate syrupMix until smooth. Pour in greased 9×13 pan. Bake 350 for 30 mn. Top may look wet when you take it out. Cool COMPLETELY! Next layer:2 C powdered sugar1/2 C softened butter1 T water1/2 t mint extract3 drops of green food coloringBeat until smooth. Pour over brownies. Chill until cool. (If you don’t chill this layer completely, the next layer will MELT this layer!) Next layer:6 T butter 1 C semi sweet chocolate chipsMelt on low, let cool a bit, then pour over mint layer. Chill until firm.

Tea Bag Holder/Card /Cookie

If you are in my Stamp Club, you got to make one of these fun Tea Bag Holders this month! (There is still room for more Stamp Clubbers, please let me know if you are interested!) This project showcases items from the Spring Mini Catty and the Sale a Bration Catty. This tea bag holder was shown at Regionals in San Antonio. Leadership. Debi Pippin is the creative genius behind this project! You can view her blog HERE. She has an awesome blog! I also found a video tutorial on Niki Toll’s blog and you can view that HERE. I thought it would be fun to add some tea bag shaped cookies! This recipe is so awesome, it uses POWDERED SUGAR instead of regular sugar! I found the recipe (and another VIDEO) on how to make the shortbread cookies HERE. Can you tell I am a VISUAL LEARNER???To make the cookies look like tea bags, I just rolled out the dough and cut them into rectangles. I used a small straw to poke a hole at the top. Then I strung Baker’s Twine through the hole. The 3/4″ circles have the Baker’s Twine sandwiched inbetween them. The sentiment says “You suit me to a tea” from the stamp set “Tea Shoppe”. Pop the cookies in some cellophane bags and tie with more Baker’s Twine! Voila! Here’s a side view of the Tea Bag Holder with the cookie sandwiched inside. The tea bag holder is secured shut with the 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon from the SAB catty. This ribbon (along with Lucky Limade ribbon AND a package of brads) is FREE with a $50 order! One side of the treat holder holds a small 3×3 card, and the other side holds a tea bag. (Sorry the color of the tea bag clashes, I didn’t have any great tea bag colors!) Now when I go tea shopping I am going to have to forget about the flavor and just go with the colors of the packaging! LOL
The heart is popped up with dimensionals on this card.

If you place a $50 order online from my demonstrator site, I would be happy to send you one of these tea bag holders, along with the small card. (However, I don’t think the cookie would make it in one piece because they are very fragile!) For every $50 you spend, you can get FREE products with the Sale a Bration promotion going on! The paper I used is included in this promotion, as well as the ribbon! You can place an order on my online store HERE. Check out the Sale a Bration catalog AND the Spring Mini Catalog on my sidebar.
