Here is the gift I put together from the PreK class for Brady’s teacher this year. I used the Scrappin’ Kit from a couple years back. I decorated a paint can, and the goodies inside include: Gold Canyon Candle (my sister sells these, her website is on my sidebar), altered jr. legal pad cut in half, Pix Pen with their class picture in it, giant paper clip, scrapbook with rub-ons on the outside (I didn’t want to publish all the kid’s pictures, but you will see my son’s page below), set of 6 notecards with her initial on it, and a gift card and holder.
I did a workshop today, and these are the 3 projects we made. I like to start with a super simple project while guests are arriving (everyone arrives at different times) and this keeps them occupied, plus they discover EARLY how simple stamping can be!
I know I CASED this, once again, didn’t save where I found it. PLEASE email me if it’s your idea so I can give you credit!! The only thing I changed was added the score lines around the edges. SUPER SIMPLE card! This is a 3×3 card.
Recipe: Stamp Set: A Note of Thanks Paper: Whisper White Ink: Chocolate Chip Accessories: Felt Flower
At our weSTAMP meeting last month, Barbara taught us how to make these cute little envelopes with the large tag punch. You can view the make and take we did HERE. I found a tutorial on how to make these HERE.
Recipe: Paper: Rockability DP, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black Accessories: 5-Petal/BoHo Blossoms/Large Tag Punches, Jewel Brad, Envelope, Black Grosgrain Ribbon
Last project, I like to showcase Fun and Fast Notes. When there is a group of gals who haven’t stamped before (or very little) I like to show a versatile set. Fun and Fast notes is a great set for that!
Recipe: Stamp Set: Fun and Fast Notes Paper: Ruby Red, So Saffron, Sweet Slumber Specialty, Whisper White, Baja Breeze Ink: Stazon Black, Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red Accessories: 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon (So Saffron), Scallop Edge Punch
I threw a bridal shower for my future daughter in law and these are the party favors that were at each place setting. However, I forgot to take out out the insides and snap a picture of those, too! They were 4 Hershey nugget candies wrapped in matching DP, then in a cellophane bag.
I have seen a lot of these on SCS, but the first one I saw was on good ol’ Becky Robert’s blog. I sure LOVE her ideas! You can find her project and instructions on her blog found HERE.
Here is another project we did with the class I am teaching at church. I got the pattern from Colleen off of SCS HERE. I see a lot of potential with this pattern! (coffee, tea, hot chocolate…..) I did “tweak” the pattern a bit….I am always looking for an easier way, and to save time. I re-made the handle so the oval punch could be used, instead of hand-cutting the handle.
This is what I made for my upline and downline for convention. We always make small giftables and exchange the first night we are at convention. I made notebooks with a Zoofari/Wild About You theme. On the inside cover of the notebook is a list of all the classes we will be taking. Then the tabs on the right side also list the classes. This notebook is for taking notes during our classes.
I also made a pen with the same coordinating paper inside the barrel, with their name and the Stampin’ Up logo on it. You can buy these pens (called Pix-Pens) at Ritz Camera. I have used these pens in classes in the past and you can put PICTURES in the barrell, too! LOVE them because when you get tired of the picture you just swap it out! These make awesome, personalized gifts!
Lastly, I made a beaded chain to hang off of your scissors so you can recognize your scissors at a glance. The end of it has shrinky dink plastic stamped with a stamp from “So Many Scallops”, then shrunk down into a charm-size. I got one of these as a gift from my sideline, Chat (her blog can be found HERE. She gave us these a couple conventions ago, and I loved it so much, and thought my downline would enjoy them, too. Even found some fruit striped gum!!
If YOU are interested in learning how YOU, TOO, can participate in all the fun, and become a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, please contact me!!
I just can’t get enough of this Tart and Tangy set! Here is a little gift box (pattern idea from Nancy Morgan HERE). If you haven’t checked out her blog, you’re really missing out! She is an amazing stamper. The strawberry pattern was found HERE. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the “seeds” onto the paper before I cut it into the strawberry. Recipe:Stamp Set: Tart and TangyPaper: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper WhiteInk: Real Red, Old OliveAccessories: Red Striped Ribbon, Cuttlebug, 5-Petal Flower Punch, Moss Gingham Ribbon, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8″ & 1 1/4″ Circle Punches
Here is another version of the coffee cup we did at class. I’m so sorry I forgot to put the pattern here! The website where I found it no longer exists, but if you email me I can send it to you.
Sherry Graves is the genius who came up with this.
