One of the reasons I am so excited for school to start is to start giving teacher gifts!! 🙂 I saw this idea on Julie Pitta’s blog HERE. Next trip was to my local Target store to find the marker board. Found it in the dollar spot! SCORE! I was able to use the Crop-a-Dile to put jumbo eyelets through the marker board. I attached the marker board pen to the board with sticky velcro.
Here is my final project as the August Guest Designer for Our Creative Corner! Thank you so much, Wendy, for inviting me to participate! This week the challenge was to use the following colors in my project: I just love all teacher desks I have seen on SCS, and thought I would make one that looks like my “Messy Stamping Desk”! I enjoy making Barbie-sized things, so this project was fun for me to make!
The desk part is easy to make. Just make 6 boxes using the matchbox die, and then stack them up! As you can see, the drawers slide out, and I filled them with Stampin’ Up embellishments.
Here is a photo of the Compact Note Pad and BLING Lipstick item I made for convention.
I finally finished my first every video tutorial! I have a whole new appreciation for those of you who do video tutorials! There’s a few bloopers in there, that’s for sure! Also, after I made the video, Erin McMilon emailed me and found the BLING pens SUPER INEXPENSIVE at this website HERE. THANKS ERIN! UPDATE on where to purchase the round post it notes!! Dollar Tree has them in with the school supply section. They are SO CUTE and will match the pens. (They are different than the ones I have pictured, but are just as cute. There is a stripe in the new ones.) They still come 2/pack.
Here is another “giftable” that I made for downline/sidelines/friends! You have seen this tool box before on this post HERE. You can even purchase this tutorial for the BOX ONLY on my sidebar. The items in the tool box are SUPER TINY, like Barbie size!
Here is another idea for using the Tool Box/Gardening Tutorial that I previously posted HERE. The MINIATURE goodies in the tote are Barbie sized! This would be a fun little gift idea for the Stamper who has everything!
The back side of the tote is where you can put a gift certificate. The blank area is for YOU to fill in….Happy Birthday…..Thank You…..Congratulations……or even personalize it with her name!
To purchase the tutorial for the basic box pattern, please refer to the link on the right hand side of my blog. (Does NOT include miniature stamping supplies – I just shrunk pictures of supplies on the computer and printed)
THANK YOU!!! (Tutorial is FREE with any online order on my Stampin’ Up website, which is found HERE.
I forgot to post these!! I made these a couple weeks ago and gave them to Brady’s teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Once again, I used Becky Robert’s tutorial, which can be found HERE. LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern!!
It was so much fun filling these purses! I put gum in the skinny outside pocket. Inside I put a thank you card (that matched, of course! LOL), a package of kleenex, pen, paper, mints, a gift card to their favorite stores, and I think I threw a small lotion in.
I’m so far behind in my posting!! Here is one of the items I gave to Brady’s Kindergarten teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week. She likes containers to hold lots of things in her class, so thought a teacher/themed one might be fun for her.
I just used tacky glue and glued pencils around a glass container!
I promise this is the last easel calendar project I will post. LOL (I ran out of calendars!) I LOVE making this style card with the calendar. They just go together like bread and butter!
My friend who collects CHERRIES had a BIG birthday this year. So along with her gift I included this for her desk in her CHERRY office. 🙂
I have made these little cupcake mix treats before. (Click HERE) and have waited for quite some time to offer this class! Nicole Heady is the creator of this idea. What a clever gal!
Please email me if you are interested in attending the class. I am in Phoenix, AZ and would love for you to join us! Class size is LIMITED and pre-payment is required.
For $25, you will receive:
– 1/2 of the Simply Scrappin’ Kit (3 sticker/die cut sheets, 1 1/2 12×12 sheets of Designer Series Paper, 4 12×12 sheets of coordinating textured cardstock) Here is a picture of the Scrappin’ kit. It is found on page 167 of the large catalog – Instructions and photos of how to make the cupcake gift project – 3 test tubes and tops that are inside the box flap, which hold the sprinkles for cupcakes – One apron/card plus envelope (or however many cards you can make with your paper!) Note: cake mix, frosting, and sprinkles are NOT included in the class.
My neighbor is a substitute teacher and wanted to get her name out to the school teachers so when they need a sub they can call her. (You can find the pattern to these boxes on Nancy Morgan’s website HERE.) She was going to hand out business cards, but I suggested something a little more memorable (and CHOCOLATEY) so they would remember her.
I came up with this design to look “schoolish”. The back of the box has a piece of square cardstock with my friend’s info on it.
Recipe: Stamp Set: Tart and Tangy Paper: Basick Black, Summer Sun, Real Red, Whisper White Ink: Real Red, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive Accessories: Scallop Circle/1 3/8″ Circle/1 1/4″ Circle Punches, Non SU Ribbon, Non SU Ruler paper, Hershey Nuggets, Paper Shred
It’s another cupcake themed gift! This gift was for my sweet friend and weSTAMP partner, Nancy Riley. She will be celebrating her birthday on Tuesday!! (Stop over to her blog and be sure and wish her a happy birthday!!)
This gift was made with the paper from Stamin’ Up’s Designer Series Patterned Paper: “Thoroughly Modern”. You can find the original pattern for this cupcake gift on Nicole Heady’s blog, which can be found HERE.
I won’t be blogging in the next couple of weeks because we are heading to our son’s wedding in Charleston, SC! WOOOHOOO! Will post pictures later!!
Boy we sure have FUN at our weSTAMP meetings!! In case you don’t know what weSTAMP is, let me tell you! Nancy Riley (iSTAMP) and I hold monthly downline meetings to meet with our downline members. We CREATE, train, encourage, learn from others, LAUGH, swap, eat yummy food, and MAKE NEW FRIENDS!!! If YOU are interested in joining our group, please email me and let me know. Don’t hesitate if you are an out-of-towner! We have out of state members who participate, too! You will be included in emails, and can take part in swapping, too. We have our own personal website which is an AWEOME tool for staying connected.
Watch for future postings, there is going to be an AWESOME deal going on for new recruits starting on July 15th. It’s a SMALL investment for GREAT rewards and DISCOUNTS! Details to follow on my blog.
We had our monthly meeting last night. Our swap theme was ANYTHING GOES! That means we could make a card or 3-D item. This is what I made. I saw this on Susie’s blog, which you can find HERE. (She also has a downloadable pattern for this truck on her blog.) Check it out! You can make ANY kind of truck! My son made a bus and a mailtruck with this same pattern.
I also put a picture of the new catty in a plastic key ring that I ordered from Oriental Trading Company. The catty key chain was stuck in the back of the UPS truck.
Some people just don’t “get” this 3-D item. (Like my husband.) If you are a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I know you understand our obsession with “Mr. Brown”.
I will post the rest of our swaps SOON! I need to get some pictures taken!!
