Kid’s Birthday Card Idea
Sometime’s I just don’t know what to get kid’s for their birthdays….don’t know what toys they are “into” or if they already have something….. My son LOVES gift cards, so I thought this would be a hit! I saw this idea on Pinterest and and thought it would make a cute and creative way to give a gift card!
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Bring on the Cake (inside sentiment)
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Glossy Photo Paper
Ink: Real Red (sentiment inside)
Accessories: Alphabet Embossing Folder
Nostalgic Themed Birthday Gift
Here’s a little nostalgic birthday themed gift for a dear friend of mine, Nancy Riley! The tin with the chalk board element on it can be found at Target’s Dollar Spot this season! I wrote the words “Remember Your Roots”. Then I filled the bucket with candy from Nancy’s era! Think Zots, Pixie Stix, Boston Baked Beans, sucker with the looped white handle that is out of thick string, Chicklets, etc. Then I wrapped the handle of the bucket in different ribbons with the colors Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Basic Black, and shades of gray.
This card is a TOTAL case from Connie Babbert. I received this DARLING card in our Control Freak swap at Convention. I didn’t change a THING on it!! Connie is amazing, she comes up with such creative ideas. The heart and silver circle have Dimensionals behind them to give them a POP.
On the inside of the card, I wanted it to look like a Polaroid snap shot. Nancy’s gift is another nostalgic themed item. Nancy is originally from Iowa and her heart is near and dear to that state. I ordered a t-shirt that has a shape of the state Iowa on it, and it says “home.” The website is found here: The Home T. I copy and pasted the photo of the t-shirt from the website, then I morphed Nancy’s head into the photo of this shirt! Since the shirt hasn’t come yet, I didn’t have it to actually wrap it, so this was the next best thing.
Hope you enjoy this! It’s fun to get creative with gifts!

This card was for my Girl’s Day/Night Out last month. The ice cream actually comes out of the cone to reveal the YUM message! I saw the cone idea on Pinterest HERE. She also has instructions on how to create the ice cream cone.
