Fun birthday card featuring Stampin’ Up’s NEW DSP stack! Fun colors and designs – check it out!

To make the “burnt edge”, just sponge Delightful Dijon ink (NEW IN COLOR!) and then Chocolate Chip ink. Tear, fray, rip edge to give it the burnt look. I inked the back sides, too.

Nostalgic Themed Birthday Gift

IMG_0846 copyHere’s a little nostalgic birthday themed gift for a dear friend of mine, Nancy Riley! The tin with the chalk board element on it can be found at Target’s Dollar Spot this season! I wrote the words “Remember Your Roots”. Then I filled the bucket with candy from Nancy’s era! Think Zots, Pixie Stix, Boston Baked Beans, sucker with the looped white handle that is out of thick string, Chicklets, etc. Then I wrapped the handle of the bucket in different ribbons with the colors Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Basic Black, and shades of gray.

This card is a TOTAL case from Connie Babbert. I received this DARLING card in our Control Freak swap at Convention. I didn’t change a THING on it!! Connie is amazing, she comes up with such creative ideas. The heart and silver circle have Dimensionals behind them to give them a POP.

IMG_0847 copyIMG_0849 copy

On the inside of the card, I wanted it to look like a Polaroid snap shot. Nancy’s gift is another nostalgic themed item. Nancy is originally from Iowa and her heart is near and dear to that state. I ordered a t-shirt that has a shape of the state Iowa on it, and it says “home.” The website is found here: The Home T. I copy and pasted the photo of the t-shirt from the website, then I morphed Nancy’s head into the photo of this shirt! Since the shirt hasn’t come yet, I didn’t have it to actually wrap it, so this was the next best thing.

Hope you enjoy this! It’s fun to get creative with gifts!

Sorry I have been away for so long!! We went to Florida for spring break. I had such great intentions to get some “catching up” done down there, and you know, sometimes you just have to break and hang with the family! 🙂 I knew you’d understand!

Our family always has an Easter Egg decorating contest. Here are this year’s entries! They aren’t the greatest because we were decorating eggs the night before Easter at 10pm because of our Florida trip!!!! (The black one is Harry Potter. We went to the Harry Potter park at Universal Studios while in Florida. Can you guess who made this one?)
