Since I’m not creating a lot right now, due to the holiday, I thought I would post some ideas that are already done. I like to put a big 12×12 scrapbook on my coffee table during the holidays. In the scrapbook, I limit each year to ONE 2-page spread of my Christmas card and letter for that year. It is a fun conversation piece when we have company over during the holidays. They can quickly and easily scan the scrapbook and see what happened during the year through my Christmas letter, and see how we have all changed at a glance at our picture Christmas card. I started this when our oldest son was born, which means I have 25 years of holiday pictures and letters! These pages are SO FAST because the letter and card take up most of the space! This picture above is the 2007 2-page spread. Check back again, I will post a few more years. Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with 25 years of our family, just a few more years. LOL
Here is the Christmas card for our family this year. These are our 3 kids. They are (left to right), 25 year old son Brook, 4 year old son Brady (SURPRISE baby for us!!!), and 19 year old daughter Brittany. Please remember our son Brook in your prayers, he is an Air Force pilot and will be deployed overseas on Dec. 28th.
This is a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ card (not counting the scallop at the top).
Here is the recipe:
Stamp Set: Many Merry Messagess (I used the saying Joy expressed, Love shared, a Miracle celebrated.) This is stamped on the inside of the card. Ink: Basic Black (on the inside saying) Paper: Brocade Blue, Whisper White Accessories: Cuttlebug snowflake, snowflake punch, Giga scallop punch, organza ribbon, silver cord, white gel pen, Stickles (color is “Crystal”). I tried other white Stickles, but this one is a lot more SPARKLY! Sorry you can’t tell in the picture. I used stickles all over the white parts of the card (centers of snowflakes) and on the snowflake punch that has the year on it.
