Our weSTAMP swap theme was Masculine for this month’s meeting.
I was inspired by a card made by Bron Heslop. Her amazing blog can be found HERE. This technique is called FUNKY FOLD. I found a great video on SCS explaining how to make this card. You can view it HERE. I did alter my dimensions a bit from the video.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Sail Away, En Francais
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Baker’s Twine, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch
More swaps will be posted in the next day or two after I get caught up a bit around here!
I love this card. I'm going to case it for my Father's Day card! Thanks for sharing.

Oh this is just adorable and so creative – love the 'wheel'!! Would you be willing to share your dimensions with me? I tried one with a 6×12 piece and it just seems too 'bulky' (sorry I'm not much of a math wiz and I'm pregnant, brain just ain't workin LOL). Thank you so much!! kimmerkidd (at) yahoo (dot) com
Hi Rene, I need your email addy to follow up with you! THANK YOU!
Hi Lorri, I just loved this card, is it possible for you to e-mail me the scoring and cutting details as the ladies video doesn't seem to work and anyway my computer is not giving out any sound at the moment and I can't work it out, I am a dumbo!! I wish we could get the bakers twine over here.
Regards Rene xo
Lorri, your card is AWESOME! Love how you've incorporated a ship's wheel with the image! Very cool. I look forward to getting that baker's twine here in NZ; it really adds to the finished project. Well done you – I love it!
(It's a shame I can't share my card yet, as well – won't be long, though!)
Having seen Lorri's card in person the picture doesn't do it justice. It really is an AWESOME card!
Lorri's cards are THE BEST!!
This is a very creative card! I love the colors too. Thank you so much for sharing! You are very talented!
