Cozy Craft Retreat – Last Projects!

Fun banner from the Cozy Craft Retreat, the gals could make their banner say whatever they wanted! The felt balls were purchased online from Nepal!

This was a little Ball jar with the infamous truck with the tree in the back! I coordinated the tag to go with our theme.

Here is the jar with a coordinating card!

On the last day of the retreat, I gave away a peppermint scented bath bomb (purchased from Etsy).

I am SO GRATEFUL for all the gals who attended this year!

I already have next year’s venue booked, so SAVE THE DATE!

Sept. 20-21 is the date for the retreat next year!

Come join us!

Halloween Projects – More From Cozy Craft Retreat!

Winding down my Cozy Craft Retreat projects….. this one is our new thinlit dies, Takeout Treats. I paired this with Trick or Tweet stamp set! There is a cute little spider charm, also available from our holiday Stampin’ Up catalog! (see link on my sidebar to the right!) I tied the bow with muslin fabric. The gals enjoyed this little treat project!

I was inspired by Jacquelyn Williams on the cruise with her cute little Frankenstein treat box, here’s my version!

Halloween Project

I still have more retreat photos for you, but taking a quick break from them to post a Halloween project or two! SOON it will be Oct. and I need to post Halloween ideas before it’s too late!

My favorite stamp set for the Halloween season was Trick or Tweet. The cutest little animals are in this set!

If you know me well, you know I have a fetish for candy corn – not necessarily to EAT them (although they are YUMMY with peanuts), but the decorate and use the color scheme with! Seems every year some how I incorporate the 3 candy corn colors in a card. Here’s this year’s version!

The little sign is hard to see, here’s a better version of the laminated sign I made. THANKS Jennie Portonova for sending this cartoon to me! She knows I get a kick out of candy corn things!

The witch feet are from Michael’s Craft Store.

Recipe for card:

….And There’s’ MORE!

Here’s a table gift the gals received, it’s a little Stampin’ Up trash bin filled with “white trash” treats inside! Basically you just add the food you like and mix it with vanilla almond bark! The popcorn is Chester’s Puffed Corn (looks like packing peanuts – I teased the gals and said packing peanuts were the mystery item in there LOL)

Here’s a simple card – what you can’t see in the photo is the whole front of the card is spritzed with our new Frost Shimmer Paint. You just put a tad bit in our spritzer bottles, then fill the rest with rubbing alcohol. There is a nice shimmer to the WHOLE CARD!!!!

We had a swap contest for the gals, and here’s the winning card! Isn’t this adorable! Pat Brannin was the winner – she was our “ROYALTY” and got to bask in it with a crown! LOL She used the “eclipse” technique. Such a cute card for Halloween!

Here she is with her prize, the whole kit and caboodle for Santa’s Workshop Cards on page 21 of the holiday catalog! WAY TO GO PAT!!!!!

Cozy Craft Retreat Weekend!

This past weekend was so much fun, I thoroughly enjoyed the Cozy Craft Retreat weekend with some creative gals! I have been waiting a long time to share the projects and photos of the events!

Becca Matlock was so sweet to gift me with the Cozy Craft Retreat sign that her daughter and son in law made. Isn’t it beautiful? I will be able to use that each year!

Here are the swag bags that each attendee received. The bags were ordered online. I used my Silhouette to create the truck and tree theme, then used using heat transfer vinyl to apply to the bag. The bag is topped off with a buffalo checkered ribbon, a rusty jingle bell, and a tag with each gal’s name on it.

Here is a photo of the products that came in the bag, along with kits for 12 make and takes. I will be sharing more of this throughout the next few days!

I truly could not have done this event without the help of my team. Becca Matlock and Susanna Cunningham were right there beside me and did so much to help me!!! I am so thankful for a team that believes in me and my vision! Thank you two from the bottom of my heart! When the gals arrived, they received a cute little Stampin’ Up logo apron treat box, made by Becca. I ordered their personalized rubber stamp from Rubberstamps.com. I designed the stamp to resemble a UPC symbol and then the words “Handmade by ______ with their name on it. That way they could stamp the back of their cards when they were finished!

The next table gift is a darling little sour cream container. This thinlit die is available now in the holiday catalog. Aren’t these cute? Susanna made these for me, I love everything about this project, and I love all the new products on it!

I have SO MUCH MORE to share! Come back and visit for MORE PROJECTS and GOODIES! This is a great way to kick off the season with some fun ideas!

3-D Suitcase Gift

We who live in Phoenix are BLESSED to have an awesome show every spring and fall called Junk in the Trunk! My sister came down and I wanted to get her a birthday gift there, but HOW DO YOU CHOOSE when there’s so many awesome things? I gave her a little retro suitcase (handmade) and inside put a gift card with the Junk in the Trunk logo on it. SO FUN!

I have made these suitcases a few years ago as well, you can see the other ones HERE. ENJOY!

Another Coffee Card Ensemble Plus COUSIN CREW!

Can’t get enough of this Coffee Cafe suite, which I’m THRILLED will be in the new Annual Catalog!!!! WOOTWOOT! This girl is SO HAPPY! Be sure and get this set if you don’t already have it so you can save 10% by purchasing it bundled! It won’t be bundled in the next catalog! Also, stock up on this adorable Designer Series Paper!!!! It has the RETIRING color, Soft Sky in it, so don’t forget to order that card stock and ink as well!!  You can see I made the coffee an iced latte with our marbled background stamp!

Oops – sorry I used a retired stamp set for the sentiment on this one. I just can’t part with any of my coffee sets!

Card recipe below.

So….. this has been my world for 10 days! My 3 grandkids from GA are here for a 10 day visit while our son and his wife vacation in Europe! My daughter’s family is local, so with her 2 kids, we have been having a great time with the 5-Cousin-Crew! (Brittany made those adorable shirts!)

Here we are at McDonald’s Ranch. We havw 5 grandkids total (so far…..) and their ages are: 3,3,2,1 and 1! Grammy is in bed by 9:30pm at night and night time is usually my creative time, so posts are a little less often. That’s why I LOVE Stampin’ Up! I can be super flexible with my time!

April All Star Tutorial Blog Hop

The 13 designers who participated in the April All-Star Tutorial Bundle also offer a blog hop! We showcase different projects on the blog hop, but use the same products we used in the PDF that you can earn or purchase HERE.

Thank you for visiting my blog during the All-Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop! I used the stamp set Barn Door Bundle! The tutorial for my project can be seen below.

Here is the rest of the lineup!

Cleaning Caddy for my Daughter’s Norwex Business

My daughter became a Norwex consultant recently. Because of health issues, she was forced to look for more natural products to use. If you haven’t heard about Norwex, check out her website HERE.

Of course, I had to come up with some sort of paper crafting idea to help launch her business! I came up with a miniature cleaning caddy and replicated some of their popular products. I LOVE making mini things! Her business cards fit on the other side of the caddy

I have a tutorial of the basic caddy in my online store HERE. You can dress it up in whatever way you want!

Have you ever tried Norwex? There are a lot of Norwex products, but I think they are most known for their cleaning products. We’re talking RAGS and water, no chemicals in the cleanup! You have to see it to believe it!

Here’s a video showing “the butter” test. It really works!

Just wanted to share my little paper crafting project and put in a little plug for my daughter!

Decorating with Stampin’ Up

Another reason I LOVE Stampin’ Up is because you can DECORATE using your projects!

The first photo shows a project I made awhile ago, remember this post HERE?

I added the Valentine coffee cup candle to my 3-tier tray and it fits perfectly with the theme!

This tiered tray is one of my favorite decorating piece! I like to throw my small holiday items on there to make a centerpiece for my table! Many people ask me where I got my tray. Check out Painted Fox Home, they have the cutest decor items and a lot of different sizes and colors of these tiered trays!

Here’s a photo of my coffee niche, that I also decorate seasonally. You can see the smaller tiered tray on the right side. Can you tell I’m obsessed with Rae Dunn?

Just having a little fun with the holidays! Thanks for letting me share!

Come join me for a class, let’s get creative!

Don’t forget, it’s SALE A BRATION right now! FREE PRODUCTS! Check the catalog out on my right side bar!

Football Cookies! PLUS Hershey Nugget Purse!

Another passion I have, besides papercrafting, is cookie decorating! Here are some of my treats for Super Bowl Sunday yesterday! I got an airbrush for Christmas for my cookie decorating, I just need more practice now!

Here’s a project – so simple and easy! Brenda Quintana has an awesome tutorial on how to make these, individually OR if you are making a bunch of them assembly line style! Her instructions can be found HERE. I added a tassel to my purse by wrapping the Baker’s Twine around my finger about 3 times, then tying off. This 12×12 Designer Series Paper is FREE by ordering $50 during Sale a Bration!

Hope you enjoy this little nugget treat!
