Here’s a card to get you in the spring/summer mood! My friend, Michelle Zindorfwalked me through how to create the beach scene that is in the circle, all you do is literally drag your ink pad across the paper! I love this effect! There are so many possibilities with this technique!
I like using Foam Strips to give the chair some dimension, that way I don’t have to trim down Dimensionals to make them fit.
Yesterday was such an amazing day, I just love hanging with my team. To top it off, we had 2 other teams as guests, so it was TRIPLE FUN!
I can’t wait to share photos with you, and ideas from our demonstrations. You will be amazed at their creativeness!
The them of our event was obviously picnic! You can get away with picnic parties in January when you live in AZ! LOL
Let’s start off with the table goodies! Juli Steward made the adorable water bottle labels that went so well with our picnic theme! What is a picnic with out trash cans? These little cuties were ordered from a company in China. We actually used them for our scraps, and each person received one at their table. The name tags were made by Kimberley McQueen, they have a cute little ant on them. The picnic baskets were headed up by Becca Matlock and her team helped assemble those. The pattern to the picnic basket can be found HERE on my blog under tutorials. I love Becca’s creative touch to coordinate with our theme. The cute little lady bug bubbles container with our Regional logo on it was created by Donna Kish!
Here is the table all set up. Robin Higgins made the beautiful sunflower centerpieces – they go so well with our picnic theme!
Brenda Marshall and Becca Matlock greet the guests as they arrive.
Linda Rodenberg made this darling banner to welcome the guests! I just love to see the creativity of our team!
How about a fun summer card for the camper in your life! I love paper piecing! I purchased this camper image online at the Silhouette store (can’t publish the pattern because it’s purchased). Then I shrunk it down to fit on my card.
The Designer Series Paper in the Pick a Pattern collection are so awesome, you can make so many different type cards with one paper pack!
My downline, Gina Shappa, has these 2 tutorials available for purchase! Aren’t they adorable? I wish you could see them in person! Gina’s trademark is the battery operated lights that are incorporated into her samplers.
The PDF tutorials are available for $14.95 each.
Please email me at LorriHeiling@gmail.com if you are interested, and I will send you instructions.
Tomorrow (June 14th) is the deadline for the Summer Sampler Class!
Gina designed this beautiful sampler, which will be great to showcase all summer long! The lighthouse has battery operated lights behind it!
We are hosting this class in Phoenix, AZ. We are so sorry, no online kits will be available. However, if you would like the PDF tutorial for this Summer Sampler kit, please email me at LorriHeiling@gmail.com and I will send you information on that.

My daughter and her husband are celebrating their 5th Anniversary by going on a Hawaiian cruise, so I thought it would be fun to give her an early birthday gift! We are sending them on a Hawaiian luau excursion, and of course, I had to have a cute way to present it.
I bought some Bath and Body works products to put inside the bag, they had a candle from there that actually had the word Luau on it!
The pineapple was hand drawn and cut out with my Silhouette machine. The hula girl and “Aloha” word was cut out with a download from the Silhouette store.
To create the card, I used the stamp set “Writing Notes” (retired) and made the criss crosses on the pineapple.
