weSTAMP meeting

Last night we had our monthly weSTAMP meeting! What a fun evening we had! If any of you want to join the fun we have at our weSTAMP meetings, please email me or give me a call. There are many rewards to being a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, not to mention the awesome kit you get, and buying at a discount!

We always have a swap at our get togethers. I love showing them off here. This is what everyone came up with this month:

This card was made by Pam. She used the new stamp set from the Sale a Bration brochure. It was fun to see the new stamp in a card! LOVE the colors, I am partial to pink and brown! She did some embossing for the top layer of the cake to make it look like icing! Great card, Pam!

This card was made AND DESIGNED by Ginny! WOW, talk about multi talented! This is a pen holder, and on the top is a hole which held a gel pen for all of us. I still can’t believe she figured out how to make this pattern just envisioning it in her head! Thanks for sharing with us Ginny!

Linda made this darling card, using a technique that STILL confuses me! I know it is shown on SCS somewhere…… Linda agreed to do the 3-mn. demo and share with us how she made this card. I love the new DP she used, what a beautiful card! Thanks for the time you took to make this Linda!!!

This card was made by Adriana. She used some fun colors to put this together. She used the versa mark pad to make a “watermark” image using the new stamp set Stitched Exotics. Great design and balance, love how she carried out the paper piercing theme on the bottom that mimics the look around the big flower. Thanks Ada!!

Anne designed this birthday card, which can also be used as a birthday invitation. Isn’t the birthday blower so CUTE on this card? This is a fun stamp set to work with. I LOVE the bright colors on here. My son Brady went after this one right away! LOL Great card, Anne! I love kid ideas and needed some more to show.

This adorable treat pouch was made by Jessica. Oooh laaa laaaa….gotta have that paper now! What a fun way to package a treat! This will make an awesome Valentine’s Day treat, however, I’m not going to part with this one! The heart has crystal effects on it, for a glossy effect. Great job, Jessica! Thank you so much!

Kori came up with this idea. I really do love the colors on this one, too. There’s something about Purely Pomegranite and Black that is stunning. Love that wide satin ribbon, too, that is an attention grabber! Thanks for your beautiful card, Kori! I hope you can keep swapping! (Kori is our out-of-towner).

This is the Tic Tac card I came up with. I did a snowman version HERE and had so much fun with it, I decided to make a Valentine’s Day one, as well. I will include the recipe below, since I know exactly everything that went into it.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Happy Heart Day
Paper: Cutie Pie DP, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Rose Red
Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Going Gray
Accessories: SU Punch (retired), Word Window Punch, Certainly Celery Brad, White Grosgrain Ribbon

Note: Dimensions of card opened up is 5 1/2″ x 3 3/4″.

This was the door prize made by Pam. Isn’t it adorable? Oh my goodness! I couldn’t believe how cute this was! It is made with coasters. Wish I would have won it…..lucky Ann was the winner!

Last but not least, this was the make and take we did. It is similar to a card I did earlier in the month for the card class at my church. You can see the card HERE. I just changed the background stamp to a current stamp set, which was Baroque Motifs. I also used Stampin’ Up glitter instead of Stickles, and changed the pattern from the DP Soft Sky series.

weSTAMP meeting

Our 2nd “weSTAMP” meeting was last night. We had such a great time!! I wanted to give a SPECIAL WELCOME to Tane, who is to a “soon-to-be” Stampin’ Up demonstrator! I’m so glad she came to check out our meetings. This group is made up of gals who are in Nancy Riley and Lorri Heiling’s downline (plus one “orphan” demonstrator).

We’d LOVE to have you join our group! If you are interested in becoming a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, and be included in these once a month get togethers, please email me! If you love stamping, paper-crafting, swapping ideas, getting a DISCOUNT on products, making new friends, and eating YUMMY food, you are welcome to come to one of our meetings and see if Stampin’ Up is a fit for you!

Here are some pictures of the gals who were here at our meeting.

This is a picture of the Christmas gift Nancy and I gave to our Stampin’ Up downline. It was inspired by Chat Wszelaki’s gift basket, and her blog can be found HERE. It is pumpkin bread baked in a small ceramic loaf pan, and a criss-cross card (designed and stamped by Nancy!) with the recipe that we used on a card inside the criss cross card. Nancy’s blog can be seen HERE

Here is a picture of the “make and take” I prepared for the class. It features the “Crop-a-Dile”, which we used on the eyelets and the dry embossed “dots”. The stamp set is called “Wanted”. It’s a great set for us “Arizonians”. You will fall in LOVE with the CROP-A-DILE!

Last but not least, I am posting the swaps that we traded amongst each other.

This is Adriana’s swap. I LOVE the “Cutie Pie” paper (which is still buy 3 packs, get 1 free until the end of the month!) Isn’t it cute how she stacked the bugs? I need to make a gazillion of these for kid birthday parties! THANKS for a great idea Ada!

This swap is Ginny’s. Don’t you love how she showcased the Designer Paper? The fold is on the top and when you open it, the soft sky part of the card is attached to it. The sentiment is in the inside, and says “heartfelt” along the left side. THANKS GINNY, great card! (Ginny’s 6th grader son, Daniel, LOVES stamping, too!)

Jessica came up with this darling Christmas card! She also used the Cuttlebug with embossed swirls in the color River Rock in the middle. What a great card, and this would be a great one to mass produce for Christmas cards! I think Jessica did a wonderful job creating a cute card for the holidays.

This is Anne’s card, LOVE the elegant look to this one! The colors are rich and my favorite part is how she did the unique bow on this! This stamp set is called “Baroque Motifs” and is an awesome set for ANY occasion! Great job, Anne!!!!

This is Nancy’s card. Nancy is the gal who co-hosts the meetings with me. Isn’t this color combo awesome? That is from the Level 1 Hostess paper. There are several layers that are popped up that you can’t see in the picture. I really enjoy Nancy’s cards and always look forward to what she posts on her BLOG. Check it out!

This is a card designed by Pam. WOW was this card stunning! Wish you could see it in person. The picture doesn’t capture the beautiful embossing done in silver on GLOSSY paper! She also used Stickles on the “H” and in some of the dots on the swirls. I can’t wait to show this to my stamping friends!

This calendar below is a project Pam made for “show and tell”. WOW isn’t it a fun way to count down the days until Christmas? You can put treats inside the tins (that is what the round holders are). Thanks for sharing, Pam. You have been BUSY!

This card was made by Leah. Leah is an awesome stamper, and designed this card using the FREE set we received from Stampin’ Up a couple of weeks ago! I love how she used the orange and blue together, too! 🙂 She used the daubers to sheade the flowers. What a beautiful card!

At our meetings we do a doorprize. Leah won last month, so she came up with the prize for this month. She made these CUTE CUTE letters that spell STAMP. She used the Designer Paper “Fall Flowers”. This will look so nice in a little craft niche! Great job, Leah!

Here is the swap I came up with for our meeting. I just couldn’t resist using the new set we got called Time Well Spent. Sorry, I know it’s a little EARLY for spring cards, but it was so fun and easy to work with!! Hope you enjoy it! 🙂 No special tricks to this one. I just used Speckles to add some bling, and the grass is just cut by hand out of cardstock.
