Last night was our monthly weSTAMP meeting! Nancy Riley and I really enjoy hosting these. We had an awesome turnout and were SO BUSY all evening long! So without further ado, here are some projects and swaps we did!
This was our make and take, presented by Pam Wood. We got to practice watercoloring on this project. I am pretty sure Pam found the card on SCS HERE.
Here are our swaps. The theme was 2 6×6 scrapbook pages. AMAZING creations weSTAMPERS! Most of us are more into cards than scrapbooking, so I was curious to see how everyone’s twist to putting a layout together. You gals blew me away! Here are our swaps:
Ginny Schembri:
Jessica Blair:
Linda Bickley:
Lorri Heiling: (I was inspired by this card HERE. I also saw a card from convention that had a sandcastle with the spiral punch for the top of it. Then MY HUSBAND actually sketched out the sandcastle for me on the right layout!! 🙂 LOL
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Pick a Petal, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Kraft, Tangering Tango, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Summer SunAccessories: Spiral Punch, Corner Rouner, Word Window Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Dimensionals to “pop” some of the sand layers
Nancy and I gave some “treats” to our downline. The cover to the CD was designed and made by Linda Bickley. Isn’t it beautiful? Thanks for doing that for our group, Linda!
The CD was made by Adriana’s husband, Drew. He took all the photos from those of us who went to convention, and burned them onto a CD for us. THANK YOU DREW!! Get a load of the actual CD, and how everything is ETCHED into the CD! It says Stampin Up Convention, Celebrate 08. Then there are actual swapped cards scanned into the picture design, and etched into the CD. It is BEAUTIFUL! He is weSTAMPER’s MAN OF THE YEAR! LOL The CD is filled with photos of swaps, convention boards, the home office, and general “fun” pictures.
Here is a little thank you gift I came up with for Drew from us weSTAMPERS. I found the little Sock Monkey ornament at Cracker Barrel. Isn’t he cute? (Sorry Nancy! LOL) I still am undecided about that stamp set…. Anyhow, we all signed the inside of the card for making the CD.
We also gave the weSTAMPERS some little trinkets from Momento Mall. (For you out of town weSTAMPERS, sorry to spoil the surprise. Yours are in the mail and you will soon be receiving them!)
The first item in the bag is a lip balm holder. The directions can be found HERE. This is a link from Renee’s SCS gallery. There is also a pen included that has the Stampin’ Up logo on it. The bag topper was made with the Statement of the Heart stamp.
I got to make the door prize this month because I won it last month. This is what I made. I got the pattern from Jan Tink’s blog, which can be found HERE. I am a big fan of Jan’s, not only for her incredible talent, but for her SILLY HUMOR! Just visit her blog and read a few entries, you will be giggling!
I am going to be offering a class on this project next month. Check back soon for details. It folds up to look like a purse, but when you open it, there are many places to add your own creativity to! Just add some pictures, and there is also some room for journaling on here, too. The carousel notes pull out and more pictures or journaling can be added to these.
THANKS for stopping by!
ANOTHER incredible weSTAMP get-together! Lorri, thanks for doing all the planning, hosting, etc. for the meeting! You are amazing! I just can’t believe what a creative group we’ve got! What a blessing to be a part of all of it!
Wow, fun stuff! The pages are great and I love the lip balm holders! The purse is amazing, too! I’ll add it to my list of things I’d still like to try!
