Just in time for summer, a beach chair, which holds a gift card underneath the bottom of the chair. You could put an airline gift card or some cash in the envelope to give a PERFECT SUMMER GIFT!

Lots of miniature things for the beach! Lemonade with lime and “sugared” edges, People magazine, beach towel, flip flops, sunglasses and of course, some Coppertone suntan lotion!

Here’s a photo of the underside of the chair bottom, where the gift card or cash goes.

weSTAMP Swap

Here’s my weSTAMP swap for this month. Our theme was to use something from the Summer Mini Catalog. The surf boards and paper used for the convertible are from the Summer Mini. More photos to follow in the next day or two of the rest of the swaps!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Summer Splash, Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories, Plant Hope
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Beyond the Garden DP, Sahara Sand
Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Poppy Parase, Pear Pizzaz, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Brayer, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, 1″ Circle Punch

The car has dimensionals behind it so it has a 3-D effect.

Here is another version of the card. I always have my family vote on my cards to see their preference. They liked the top card better – so that is the one I mass produced for the swap.

The SUMMER MINI IS HERE!

Lemonade Card

I’ve always loved the lemonade cards that have been on SCS, so I thought my stamp clubs would enjoy making them for summer! They are quite simple to make, but it is definitely a “hand it to them” card, and not a mailable one. The lemonade cup is 3-D, PLUS there is a lemonade packet on the inside pocket.

The Stampin’ Up cardstock is AWESOME! You can find this item on my Stampin’ Up website HERE.) It is item # 101856, and retails for $6.50 for 20 sheets. While you’re there, check out all the CLEARANCE ITEMS HERE.)

Recipe:Stamp Set: Tropical Party, Sweet Scoops (inside saying), Tart and TangyPaper: Yo Yo Yellow, Pink Passion, Whisper White, Cardstock VellumInk: Yo Yo Yellow, Pink Passion, Green Galore, Only OrangeAccessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Glue Pen, Straw, DaubersTo make the cup, I cut out a square that was 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. I made 2 dots at the bottom of the cardstock, about 3/4″ on each side. Then I cut the vellum from the top down to the dot, so it is cut at an angle on each side. Then I scored each side at 3/8″. Take a dauber and get some yellow ink on it. Rub it on the back side of the vellum to simulate the lemonade. Then, to attach the cup to the cardfront, I taped one side down first, then the other side, making sure I “bowed” the cup so it is 3-D.
Attach the straw with a small glue dot to keep it from moving around. Add Dazzling Diamonds to the top of the cup to make it look like sugar.

NOTE: Many people think the paper with the flowers on it is Designer Paper. It is not! If you use DP, the flowers are going to show through the vellum cup. The paper is whisper white using the Tropical Party stamp set. Just stamp around the edges and NOT in the middle or you will have floating flowers showing through your cup! LOL

Let the Summer Begin!

Here’s a card to kick off the summer! It is made with punches. I CASED Holly’s grill card, which can be found HERE.
